The PCM/TCM in the L99 is much more intelligent than your GTO or your sons Transam, it adapts to conditions quite severely. I can dyno my L99 with the engine coolant temperature at 220 degrees, and at 190 degrees and it will make a difference of 25 rwhp, also if the ambient air temps are above 90 degrees, you can expect to lose another 20 rwhp on top of that due to the engine pulling 8-10 degrees of ignition timing. If you get your car tuned it will be more consistant.
