I agree with Mike in that these kinds of threads are dealing a lot of damage to prospective L99 buyers for no real reason. rpepka, as much as I feel sorry for him, is only complaining about his car, of which there is only one. It would appear that his car is running like crap, and I'll bet you there are several others out there that also run like crap. It happens, in fact it's excpected. There are thousands of other L99s out there, though, and we have to consider how we'd react if this were a post about one of them that just happens to turn exceptionally good numbers. Those are out there, too, and I have confidence that we'll hear about them, too. Ultimately, however, it would be foolish for prospective buyers to give any weight to either individual account.
Personally I'm on the opinion that rpepka is only going to be truly satisfied when he gets that LS7 bolted up, and in a perfect world that's exactly what his GM rep would make happen for him, on their dime, just to hold him as a customer. We all know that ain't going to happen, though, and it's a shame, I suppose, but were I the admin in charge to whom every one of his complaints got routed, and who'd heard the whole story (obviously a GM buying family here), I bet I could get it taken care of for a fairly paltry internal sum and convert him to a lifelong company fanboy in the process.
Of course, as soon as word got loose on the internet about it, the company'd go bankrupt again from everybody and his brother expecting similar treatment. NDA him for four years, maybe?
