OK ...we all know I'm prejudiced.........

...but I've had a stupid amount of company cars over the past thirty two years at GM. (.....I started when I was three....... )

There are some cars (and trucks) that I COULD NOT WAIT to get out of......

And then there are those that I wish I'd somehow managed to 'keep'.....

.....a '78 Z28 in yellow with the gold 'turbine' wheels........

........a particularly beautiful 1982 Monte Carlo with a T-roof..........

...............a Black on Black on Gray '79 Caprice. (this was the predecessor to the 'Dreaded Black Suburbans'

...........many Corvettes, Firebirds, and Camaros.........

..........a particular 1992 Z28 convert -- white with Red rally stripes and red leather interior -- took it on vacation -have never forgotten it........

..........my first 1997 Camaro 30th Anniversary Convert.........

............my first 2002 Camaro 35th Anniversary Convert............

.......a Black Escalade ESV.......... (.....even BETTER than a Black Suburban...)

......curiously, a DTS Sedan last summer -- Dang that was a nice car -- quiet, fast, comfortable for long trips.............

And then there's 'Thor' --

Most of you are probably tired of hearing about Thor -- but I gotta tell you -- in 12,000 miles -- I've not stopped grinning.

I find myself AVOIDING yard work and house chores -- so that I can start him up -- turn on his halos -- and drive up along Lake St. Clair -- or cruise Woodward or Gratiot...........

..........and, for those of you driving a new Camaro -- you already know that the new Camaro stops traffic..........regardless of age, people just stop and stare and grin and ask all kinds of questions.

To wit: Last evening on Jefferson avenue - -I'm refuelling him -- and a very attractive early 30-something says to me (from across the tanks...) "Is THAT the new CAMARO???" -- I replied "yup!" .....and she just went nuts over Thor..........

So.........do I regret this car or get tired of him or am I disappointed?

HECK, NO!!!!

It almost scares me when I realize the attachment I have to Thor..........

(....did I mention that I just beam when I read how you love your Camaros???)
