Are you looking to run pump gas or race gas? Stick or Auto? If a stick do you have an upgraded clutch? Like I said, over power me with info and I can tell you exactly what you need sir! Thanks. -Chris

Pump gas. This is my daily driver. Or at least a car that I put 22k miles per year on.
6L80E that is still stock and has shown faint signs of fatigue. haha But I think still good for now.
When you say spec me out a cam I assume that will include the proper length pushrods. Or would I need to measure later? I'll be using the stock heads. Might so a valve job to complete the rebuild but money is cetainly an object here. haha

I looked it up but for some reason I want to say these are new specs! Seems like the older ones ran a 115+3! But not totally sure!

Whatever they ran a few years ago.

Not beyond a bad idea since I am on a budget. But I don't know anyone here in Mobile that could do the hone.

10.8:1? how much boost are you running? more importantly, what kind of gas are you using?
even though Ohio is only 1000+ ft higher in elevation, you gotta remember Mobile is at sea level (think really dense air). when you start throwing 9-10psi of boost at it, i wouldn't trust pump 93 to do the job.
|
Just so the cr is low enough to get more power with the same boost level yet still ok to run it NA if I wanted to sell it and keep the blower.

you've got so many stories packed into these past 3 yrs about how "the car's doing this", "the car did that", "the car broke my ____"...
i hate that i ain't been able to be more help, even the times i came over to take stuff apart or reinstall.
hopefully i don't have to go this route for my forged stroker... i'm already on this road towards a build TR6060 swap. ever since Road Atlanta, trans fluid has been slowly migrating from the inside of the case to my garage floor

I hear ya. I appreciate it.
Me and this car have been through a lot. I've kind of stuffed all those years not owning one into a short period of time. hahaha
My tranny is on borrowed time. I never thought it would be my engine before the transmission. I have been going through my head wondering if it was something that I did. Maybe over reving that time is what did it. I guess I will never know. I do know it really sux.
I sure would have had you over helping. haha, but no sweat at all. You have no choice. And you were there for me when I needed.

I think I mentioned it in the other thread but good input.
Bigger injectors and a fuel pump upgrade are a must. Especially if I end up with more cubes.
