My daily driver is an '87 Fiero GT. That allows me to garage my '13 ZL1 and my '08 GT500. Back in the late seventies I had a '69 Caprice beater and seldom drove my '76 Trans Am or my '64 'vette coupe (wish I still had that 'vette). Who cares what other people think of your car?
There is very little visual difference between a gen5 Camaro SS and a gen5 LT, especially if the LT has the RS package that gives it the 20" wheels similar to the SS wheels. And you can get the optional rally stripes on an LT or SS. With the LT/RS you have virtually all the looks (with no mail slot and smaller front grille) at much lower cost to purchase and operate. As long as you're not obsessed with having a V8 musclcar, the V6 Camaro is a terrific car.
