All I know is it pays to be massively polite to the officer, and to strike up a conversation with him that is not pertinant to the reason he stopped you. On a trip to VA, a state trooper pulled us over for doing 80 in a 65. By saying that we were going to look at W&M he liked that because we were going to look at a state university that could possibly take hundreds of thousands of dollars of our money and give it to the state, much more than a petty speeding ticket would add to state revenue! Be honest polite and amicable and almost always the ticket will be dropped!

And I was!! I was so nice and I explained myself saying I just got off work and blah, blah, blah... But I guess he was like young girl in a camaro? BOOM lol. If anything I'm sure I can get the ticket dropped to something else.
