One reason some cars get bayed is because GM is waiting for the dealership to get it's act together. After a certain amount of time, they have to move the car (makes no money sitting there) and will divert the order to another dealership. Unfortunately, GM is not allowed to inform you of any of this. GM hates being put in this position but they cannot deliver a car to a dealership if they have reason to believe they may not get paid for it.

This is where GM's attitude towards leaving the good enthusiasts who pre-ordered needs to be changed. You say GM is not allowed to inform you of any of this?? Not allowed by whom exactly??? It should be in GM's best interest to inform the customer in this situation so the car they pre-ordered and left a deposit for gets switched to a dealer close to them so they can get the car, and GM should help the person get their deposit back, if not GM should offer a credit back to the customer.. Anything less and it is a GM that is thinking about their own pocket book rather than their loyal customers..
