I am not trying to beat you up publically, I am just trying to figure out why this happened; specifically with the cams (The turbo is a seperate issue between Rx and me). A lot of good information has been gleaned from my situation and hope, if at very least, it makes people better educated to make informed decisions.

I am very happy to see you working with your customers and hope that you and esponda get everything sorted out!
All good. It has our name on it, the cams so it's to be expected.

I still stand by the fact that they’ll work with FI. The main problem with the LLT cams has been the fact that they've been ground offset on bank 1 since day dot it seems. This seems to have farked everything up.

I was on board with these cams from the beginning. I mighta been the second person to buy them after yellowguild when they were first announced. I'd really like a functional set in my car. I haven't hears back from MACE since the developments the end of last week. I'll see what I can work out with them. Whether to give up on the project or get a new grind.
I did reply on the 3rd of August, so I do apologise if I didn't reply to your email on the 4th but have today on the 5th of August. As mentioned in the latest email, I believe that you LLT runs an LFX style of cam! This makes sense as the first set of LLT cams that we received had a larger thrust diameter. If you go through yelloglides thread, this diameter had to be machined down. Admittedly I thought I was ripped off (again) and sent LFX cams instead, however it seems that it may have been from a later model LLT engine after all (great!).

I will be sending my cams back once Rx gives me a refund via Paypal. Rx has stated that until they receive both sets back from me, they wont issue me a refund. Which I understand as that is how returns work BUT... I do not trust that I will get the refund due to Rx oweing many other members and vendors money. I understand he hasn't commited anything to you, which is a good thing!!

So here is the problem with Rx sending you a set to "try it out". THEY ARE GOING TO SEND YOU THE EXACT SAME CAMS THAT I AM HAVING TAKEN OUT!!!!!

I just found out last night that the MACE cams that are currently installed in my car are from a version of yellowglides cams that were used after yellowglides 110LSA cams failed! So the ones I have are not the correct grinds (which we now know) and only MACE has the correct grinds.

I wish you luck and hope you get your build where you want it. I really do, and will help out in any way I can. Which ever way you decide to go I hope it works out for you!!! Just be careful, I don't want you or anyone else to have to go through the situation that I am in.
Once again I do apologize for this mess. It’s a sh1t mess to be in.

This project has been a very long and drawn out protracted project. I've been stiffed over by so many people its unbelievable! What I've written about the project is only a fraction of the crap that we've gone through! In saying this though, I'm genuinely upbeat that things will be sorted once and for all soon.

Been 11 months since we bought our first set..
Different problem Andrew to what elsololobo02 are esponda experiencing. Regardless, I spoke to your cousin and his mentioned that they now fit well, just need the timing chain diagram from me and we should be ready to fire it up.

Yeah this ordeal has been an absolute train wreck. I feel for MACE on this as Rx said the grinds were good to go ("nailed it" ). Rx even said that in a post on yellowglides thread. I still think more testing should have been done before the cams went out to the public. Or it should have been clearly stated that the cams are still under development.

I don't know, it's all just a soup sandwich and unfortunately we took a big bite. Truly mis-led by Rx here in the U.S.
Different issues. Vong, know all too well that his car was going to be the first LFX cam install ever to have been. He clearly knew that it was a development project. I even purchased EFILive specifically to program his vehicle, which I sent off to his cousin to calibrate his vehicle. Sadly, like this cam project in general, it has taken a lot longer then what I would have liked. But I genuinely believe that we're on the home stretch now.

The cost of installs adds up every time until the right set fits which is annoying.

It sucks for you guys to have to wait to get cams from Australia and find out they won't work.
Exactly why would you write that you didn't know your car was going to be an R&D vehicle? What part didn't you understand that I said we have never done one before (LFX engine) and that we may have problems? This was reflected by the considerable discount in cam pricing and the fact that I refunded your cam cost in full (without being asked!) due to delays in the end.

I'm happy to offer a refund. I don't work on Sunday's anymore so I do apologies if I didn't reply then (4th August Aust time). As mentioned earlier I replied on 3rd and the 5th of August to your email.

In summary though, what should have been sorted about 12 months ago (project been going for around 2 1/2 years now), hadn't been for a number of factors legitimately beyond our control. This has been the most gruelling project for me personally, something which has been akin to dying by a thousand cuts at time.

Despite the “lunacy” of continuing with this project I'm genuinely upbeat that we'll get this project "officially" sorted for the LLT and LFX engine very soon. This isn't delusional optimism, but more the number of failures during this process, coupled with the great success we've been having with the cams to suit LY7 engines (same family as the LLT and LLX engine). For the record, we've been selling the LY7 cams for around 2 years now with great success.

Once again, I sincerely do apologize for any inconvenience caused on our end directly or indirectly. It definitely was never my intention. The only thing that we can do is continue to work with those who are involved as best as possible.

Best Regards,
Steve
