Despite their engineering marvels, BMW's are sadly given this double standard because of; as this study clearly reveals, idiot drivers. The stigma is particularly prevalent here in Miami since every popped-collar douchebag with a off center baseball hat and Miami Heat plate owns one and drives like how he looks - stupid. It's sad because the shitty drivers actually affect my respect for what are otherwise amazing cars with a rich performance heritage.
Kudos to the BMW drivers who actually respect the cars and therefore others on the road. Most of the douchebags I just described are poseurs who bought the car for the status.
