Interesting article. In my opinion, BMW drivers are only 2 types of people. They are either loyal car enthusiasts or people who bought a BMW simply for the status of owning one. The enthusiasts are mostly the M-series owners and the "status" owners are through the entire BMW lineup. The high status feel of ownership makes people drive reckless sometimes. Gotta be honest though....we have fellow Camaro owners that act this way too. 
I also didn't know a Prius was a "high-status" car...
