I enjoy cleaning the wheels. I spend an hour on them before washing the car. Just don't let the water dry on the wheels. I have the tire and wheel kit from Adams that includes three brushes: wheel, lugs, and wheel well. Each is different.

And I have a wheel polish from chemical guys that is very easy to use and makes the wheels look great called;
Chemical Guys WAC_303 - Wheel Guard Rim & Wheel Sealant (8 oz)
I've bought and used only once so far.
