Well having installed a corvette rearend under a 1st gen I would have to say yes without a problem. As long as you have a frame bench, the knowledge, a creative mind and lots of patients. Trust me putting an independent rear axle under a 1st gen and making it look good but yet preform well is no easy task. however now that I think about it could it maybe to wide for a 1st gen? Damn it now you got me thinking.
