I know exactly what it is,I've seen it before......it's from caustic wheel cleaner,believe it or not. I had the same exact thing happen to a car of mine about six years ago when someone was cleaning a big rig upwind from where my car was parked. The mist from the wheel cleaner got on my car & it literally looked exactly like the pics the OP posted.
I'd bet someone at the dealership was cleaning another vehicle & your car was in the wrong place at the wrong time.
And as much as I hate to say this,GM isn't dumb,as someone already posted the mirrors & fascia aren't painted at the same location as the body so they'll know it wasn't a factory defect. Your problem is going to get the dealership to basically eat the cost of your car. No doubt they'll deny it.
