Hydroplaning depends on two things, speed of the vehicle, and the rate the tires discharge water. If the V8 and V6 both have the same tires then they should both be the exact same.

I mean on a road covered in rain water I don't think you are going to be using the V8 to what it can be used to...

I should have said V6 non RS with the 17" narrower tires.
