Honestly? I would buy the standard SS, if GM really wanted to build more retro versions of their old pony cars then they wouldn't base it off of one platform...at least I hope they would be smarter than that.
The GTO did NOT share the same platform that the Camaro/Fire bird did. They were always a land yacht and that's why my dad loved his Judge when he had it, very spacious and still had a great rumble.
