I'll start with my predictions:

2010 V-6 (300HP) Camaro = $19,990 base / $22,390 loaded

2010 LS3 (430HP Z-28) Camaro = $27,990 base / $31,790 loaded

2011 (SC LS3 (505HP SS) Camaro = $35,575 base / $38,995 loaded

Now, the reason I think the V-6 is deff. 300hp is because of that new Genesis being a 300 hp V-6. I think Chevy would love for a V-6 Camaro to be able to take out a Genesis AND a V-8 Mustang.

The reason I believe the base V-8 is a Z-28 is simple....it's been that way a long time now, why change it now and confuse casual buyers. The only people that it matters to are the enthusiasts. Most casual buyers remember the past couple gens having the top model Camaro be the SS. I believe the Z-28 will have the LS3 at 430 HP, reason being the past couple Z-28 gens had a weird HP number like that (I know that might be a stupid reason to believe that). And second, why de-tune the LS3 to put in a Camaro!!! Come on, the Camaro is being RE-BORN, why they hell would they want to de-tune ANYTHING in this beast? And it's not like it will be faster than the Corvette.

Now I chose the SS as the top dog Camaro having a 505HP SC LS3 that we won't see until 2010 as a 2011 model. The reason I think the SS will have a SC LS3 is because I know deep down GM wants the top dog Camaro to have LS7 power. I recall GM stating that the LS3 is a toned down LS7. I ALSO remember them saying that the LS3 is BETTER than the LS7....which is probably why they ridded themselves of the LS7 and came up with the LS9. So my guess is a SC LS3 can equal the LS7.

I know there is a 5th gen engine/motor coming out, but I think it won't happen until 2011.
My friend there is NO chance a 300HP V6 will be under $24,000. As far as the LS3 based Camaro is concerned, compared to the G8 GXP with 402HP (base $38,000 according to Motor trend), there is no way the Camaro can be $32,000 with 430HP. They will charge more because of demand and the name. The SS will be approx $44,000, a little bit less than a standard Corvette $46,000.

I think Chevy can get a 2.0 liter turbo 4 cylinder Camaro to be $22,000, but the V6 will be the main seller and the one that will compete with the 350Z & 370Zs of the world. Chevy in my opinion will charge $26,800 for the V6 and the LS3 will be $35,000 at least. I know the SS Supercharged will be out of reach, it'll be at least $44,000. We can ony pray prices will be cheaper. The 3.6 liter V6 Cadillac CTS starts at $33,990. Do we really believe Chevy can make the V6 Camaro for $14,000 less??? Cadillac CTS-V starts at $51,425, can they make the Camaro SS $14,000 less than that???

Based off other GM cars, Pontiac and Cadillac for example, there is no chance in my opinion of seeing Camaro pricing cheaper than either of those division's best.
