If it goes well, I'm gonna pick it up. It's gonna be tough calling my dealer and getting my 1k back.
I figure by this time next year, I'll owe about 30k on the vette. It'll be worth 35ish, trade in 32ish. So I'll end up making money.

Make sure you drive both. I sold my 2007 M6 coupe Corvette with 17K for $29,500 last week. I am 100% sure I did the right thing. The vette is very nice and a better performer but I like the styling, the comfort and the ride quality much better in the Camaro. Drive both the same weekend. Find a Camaro somewhere and make a real comparison. Your car will come and soon. I am told its worth the wait. If you really want the vette then buy it. BUT if you really want the camaro and are sick of waiting and are going to spend 39K because you are sick of waiting, please brother WAIT IT OUT. The car will come. I get really anxious, to the point i want to go look at a SRT8 Challenger and a GT500 but i wont b/c I know in October, when I would have had my 2SS/RS I will be kicking myself.
part 2... maybe??? I was offered payoff (27,500) trade on mine. it was mint. I agree a year older and more mileage but becareful with the trade game. Do what you want but dont just tap out b/c you cant wait another month or so.
In the end I made $2K on my Corvette. Bought for GMS at about $39,000 in march 2007 owed $27,500 got $29,500 outright. Your rational is possible but you are playing the economy and trade game to your advantage. It may not work out that way my friend.
EDIT>>> DUDE, I just looked, you ordered the same day as me. It has not been that long at all! The only thing I have that you don't is a TPW, you will get one this week, I feel it!
