If your selling to a private buyer, you'll get more for your changes to the car. Not much though, because you changed the car to your taste, and unless you find someone that wants exactly what you did, you don't typically get your money back for upgrades. As far as what they are selling for at the dealership, that doesn't apply to private buyers. They always low ball with trade allowances so they an make a profit off of you.
