NO your car wont !!! not even a stock ZL1 on a road course!!!!!no freaking way !!!!!!!your car is a ss,and a built car...and try a mild built ZL1 on a road course it would out run your car pretty easy I would say after about 20 or 30 laps...your brakes,rear end,etc would over heat..heck after 3 laps it would be over,your car is not set up to run at a drag strip,then be able to press a button and ride like a caddy on the street smooth as a babys butt, then have to only press another button,and go onto any road course anywhere on the plant it has has all the factory built cooling systems,and brakes to slam most other cars on a road course..yes a new stock GT500 is faster in one lap than a stock ZL1(by.4 of a sec) with 100 more hp but by the end of the second lap its slower by 1.1 seconds,and by the 3rd lap and by the 20th lap,it would either be in the fence because the brakes have over heated,as would your ss,there is a lot of you guys that are only thinking about,1 lap,1 run down the drag strip which means jack shi%# try 30 laps and see what happens to your cars...the ZL1 is yes a cheap supercar think how little it cost,compared to a 300,000 red supercar it can keep up with,I have owned a modern Ferrari before,and i will tell you this much,it may not rev to 7500 rpm,but for what it can do,and for what it cost,and for as little as a extra 10k what it can really do then is freaking nuts..and if anyone put as much extra money into a zl1 as you did into your really nice 45thss just think about what it could do after that ? you have a 400 tubo trans in your car now correct,what is your top speed 135-140 maybe with a tail wind ? in what world can your really nice and it is, run 185mph,mine can ..can yours ? in fact with a turbo 400 i dont think you could do one lap at the big track in Germany,does anyone else..I dont see any extra coolers,or air ducts for your brakes,or does it have a kick ass rear diff cooler. I am sure not everyone will agree,but is it a exotic no its not that i will agree to,but when it can out run a stock Zr1 with a few mods on a road course,drag strip,and rides a little better on the street,what does a car have to do to be called a supercar?Its been called that in road and track i think or maybe another mag cant remember off the top of my head..Bottom line it is what it is to each and every person that owns one,not someone that has looked at it or read about it,or thinks his home built/shop built car will out run it in one lap or in one 1320 feet run then parks his car and pulls it home !!!!!!!!!!
this conversion will go on forever,but when someone can run 10 laps in it all with a tens of a second of each other,what do you call it ? a yenko is called a supercar,but it cant out run it can it ? oh thats a camaro too is it not ? if you have one just enjoy it,and dont be offended by what others that dont have one say about it.Heck people used to say this and that,and laugh at my Ferrari as they beat up on it at the drag strip,until i pass their car on a trailer on the way home being pulled by a $2,500 truck doing 45 in the slow lane.Did it bother me yes,I will be honest but only till I got on the freeway then who got the last laugh....
oh is Hennessy 90k ZL1 a supercar ? boy it sure was called that by at least 5 T.V shows and every place I looked on the news stand.
