The trunk release didn't phase me to much.
I have wondered the same thing about the e-brake being on the passenger side!
I drove to the wrong side of the gas pump twice before I got used to it(yes I now know my car has an arrow pointing to the correct side, don't judge me)
One thing that cracked me up to is that our trunks have a anti kidnapped mechanism on the inside that you can pull and it will release the trunk from the inside. It has a man getting up and running out picture on it haha!

Correct. The rear wheels are 11" wide and front are 10" for the 1LE. There's a guy in my area with a '13 1LE and he went to sams club to get new tires and they put the rear on the front and couldn't get the car to move!
The bad thing? I later found out it was some kid I went to high school with who put them on wrong!
