Then GM picks the order and the car is built
It looks like it takes about 3wks from the time you go to the 2000 code.

I think he is saying 3 weeks from 2000 to delivery... no way! it can be 1 day to eternity to go 1100 to 2000 depending on your dealers allocations. Once you hit 2000 you move to 3000 very quick. Most people seem to sit at 3000 about 3 weeks. Also at 3000 you should get your TPW (target production week). It usually gets built in that week. Things have been bumped back a little becasue of the ss M6 issue but has since been resolved and they are catching up. Some orders did see a bump from 3300/3400 back to 3000 but this is not typical. Anyhow, you should expect 8 weeks once you hit 2000. I broke it down several pages back. This is just what I have noticed from looking over peoples progression. Seems to be pretty consistant.
Once you get your allocation and move to 2000
1 week 2000-3000
2-4 weeks 3000-3400
1 week to build (TPW) even though it takes a day or 2 to build, could be Monday, could be Friday...
--- skip the threat of QC hold--- this could be LOOOONG... seems cars are usually breezing through now.
2-3 weeks loading and shipping depending on where you live and how many trucks, trains and depots it hits...
A good questimate is 8-12 weeks once you hit 2000, which is really the beginning. You can't count time at 1100.
Hope this helps!
Also I am pretty sure orders actually get accepted (2000) on Tuesdays, the system updates on Thursdays. Fridays are usually a good day to check for movement until you get to your TPW, then you could get a VIN anyday. This is what I have been seeing.
Remember I am not affiliated with GM in any way. This is just what I experienced with my order and seen on here.
