put the car in 'nose' first into the garage... so you can pull the 9.5foot unit out from under.

when i dropped my stock catback, I loosened the diffuser panel (took out the 6 screws and yanked the corners out... the center 4 tabs of the diffuser are a beeyotch, so I didn't bother taking the whole thing out)

take your floor jack with a thin board up under the catback (just under the diff) and ease it down as you move it all forward to get the hanger wires off the rubbers. That is when you will thank yourself for loosening the diffuser.

buying a torque wrench for this operation probably isn't quite needed... but always good to have and do. you could get by with 'getting a feel' of it when you remove it from the car
