Sorry guys SOA was on last night and missed all this hoopla, like Jaime said the crank is responsible for the longer stroke from a 3.622 to a 4.0 it will pull the piston down lower in the bore. But then you will need the custom "416" pistons that have the pins further up closer to the ring land (for a lack of better explanation) if it didn't then the piston would stick out of the hole a lot. But the rod length will stay the same at 6.122? iirc
You will notice that it's money well spent because now you can throw whatever you want at it with a piece of mind. If you guys don't want to stroke it these LsX cranks can take whatever you can throw at it.
