The point I was trying to make was that when you dyno a short ram intake with the hood open you aren't simulating real world conditions. With the hood closed alot of heat builds up in the engine bay and that short ram intake sucks that hot air up. When you dyno with the hood open the short ram intake sucks cold air so you MIGHT end up with higher HP numbers then it would normally produce in real world situations.

So thats why I say be careful with dyno numbers from a short ram intake.
