Interesting question. But think of it another way. This car is built to put up with all that torque and has to stay cool in 110 degrees. Chevy says drive it to the track, abuse it, then drive it home, and you CAN! I use mine to drive to work in the summer. I have 10,000 miles, and it is a dream. To use as a DD, I would put 3M on the nose and something to protect the quarters in front of the rear wheels. Those tires are sticky and pick up sand and rocks. Otherwise go for it, you won't believe how nice this thing drives.
