IMHO, locking the factory coverter at WOT is asking for a very short lifespan for it. There aren't very many performance converters that are approved for WOT locking...vig's triple disc is one of the few that you can lock at WOT....you have to find the sweet spot for locking...to low rpm in a gear and you'll drop out of the power band and lose ET/mph, too high and you wont' take advantage of the mph gain...locking at WOT is really only gonna gain you MPH in the 1/4...also good for roll racing. I had heard prematurely that there were tuning issues with stall converters on the 6L80...I haven't researched the issue much, and since I don't have a stall yet, I have no personal experience. Just that when cruising people were having trouble keeping them locked (I believe), such that they would go in and out of lock.

How are your guys 6L80's with converters doing? How much mpg did you give up with them?
