When I initially put mine on it takes a while, several hours, once it goes to green it goes on and off like it is supposed to. I set it up and check it off and on for 3-4 hours then just check it the next day to verify it went to green, it always has guessing a couple days. I know I check it once every couple weeks during the winter to make sure it is green and it has always been. wouldn't sweat it.
