No worries here. If you have tried before with no luck, don't waste any of the good stuff! I looked to see if there was something that could be added to fudge to help getting it to stand up, but apparently it is a tricky art of getting near precise heat and mix... did not realize how complex it can be!
And yeah - mine was still a mess from Barkley Lodge as well ... plus another drive or two in the rain and after-mess. Now it is all clean, and likely gonna be a mess for a few days at least - Bleah!
If weather doesn't cancel the holiday party tomorrow, it does NOT look to be a top down day ... cloudy, low-mid 30's, and possibly rain/freezing rain/icy.
(but I really want to drive the Camaro!)
