I agree that Brembos on the rear look better, but in my experience, they really don't make any significant difference from a braking standpoint. I think if you read the press on the new Mustang, you will see it has an improved suspension and the GT is getting 6 piston Brembos and bigger discs all the way around.
As for tires, I ran a 19x9.5 wheel with a 265/30 tire on the front and 19x11 wheels in the rear mounted with 305/30's on my former Boss and have that same setup on my GT500 with no issues. If Ford chooses to run a narrower tire setup from the factory, I'm sure they have their reasons, but it's not because they can't fit them on the car.
