I have just over 10,000 miles on my ZL1 and have smelled the burning oil since about 1,000 miles. I've had other quality issues as well such as an improper routing of the battery cable causing it to rub on the belt down to bare copper, leaking coolant from the intercooler connections, and suspension popping in the rear. Maybe my ZL1 went through quality control on a Friday afternoon.

That's too bad. I haven't had any problems with mine (yet - knock on wood).
