i have a v6 for several reasons. it is fast enough for me. i test drove a 2010 SS manual a few months ago before i bought my new 13 2LT. there is obvious difference from stop between the ss and the LT. no question about it. but once you are on the highway, going 70, i cant tell the difference in either car . alot depends on what a person is looking for. i am not into drag racing, and to do the quarter mile a little faster in a ss over the v6 is insignificant to me. My v6 gets me from a to b, and does better on gas milage on 87 grade fuel. if a person is intereste in racing, tracking, etc, then the v8 is more appropriate. it just all boils down the purpose for which the car is intended. both cars are very fun to drive, and each serves a purpose. to convince a v6 person to get a v8, or vice versa (which dont happen often) is silly. thats like trying to convince someone to use French dressing instead of Ranch. to each his own, and neither is wrong. the camaro is just a great car, no matter the trim level.
