Also remember that upgrading an SS to meet or beat a ZL1 is going to cost you way more than just starting with a ZL1 platform...
I know a few ZL1's that got a new pulley with a tune and are making 700..
Getting an SS to 700 is going to take a ton more money...
Also, the stock diff with handle 1000hp so you don't have to upgrade that like you would on an SS (that's and extra 5k for the parts btw).
Brakes are bigger, yet another expensive upgrade on the SS..
Trust me, a ZL1 may look like an SS but they are totally different animals stock..
If you can afford the extra monthly payment and insurance, go for it..
