Head Gasket Thickness Effect On Compression ??
I've looked around a bit but cannot really find a definitive answer, so I was looking at getting a slightly thicker head gasket and it was advertised that it would lower the compression ratio by ~1 just so I could run boost more safely, except I don't understand why this would drop the compression. I was told that it slightly increased the combustion chamber volume, except everywhere I have seen said that milling your heads, which also increases CC volume increases your compression. Could someone explain this to me? I'm so lost when it comes to this! Thank you in advance!
