Yeah, property taxes can hit you. (except the first year if you do a plate swap from an older Camaro like I did. Got a good first 10 months at a much reduced price). But doing the math, it's not that bad. A $75K car save you $4950 in sales taxes, but basing on the SS property taxes, let's just say a Z/28's taxes are $500 per year average (goes down as the car ages), you can own a Z/28 til 2024 for $50 more than paying the entire sales tax up front.

What would really suck is if you live where you have to pay full price taxes and property taxes on top of that.
