Ok let's assume it took 20 people working for 2 years straight to design, test, validate, calibrate and prepare for production. That is 40 man years at $150,000 or $6 million in development costs. If there are simply 1,500 per year for 2 years for 3,000 units that alone is $2000 per car. And from my experience.......it took more than 20 people to do everything I know it takes to get a car ready for production.
