This is exactly what I want to do, but I need to know how you overcame some of the following technical issues:

1. The stock manual shifter knob is press-fit onto the shifter lever. How did you get the stock knob off?

2. The stock shifter lever does not have threads. Did you use a die to cut threads (1/2"-20) on the existing stock shaft, or did you make some sort of intermediate shaft that slides over the existing shift lever that is die cut to receive the shift knob.

3. I will be using the Tremec shift knob from Jegs (pic below) if I can figure out how you did your excellent modification.
