That is likely spot-on. It says several times it was stolen on a Sunday when the store was closed. Because of how this went down the real person the OP can go after is obviously the thief. The dealer seems to be in the middle of a mess not of their own doing by any stretch but the act of one rogue individual who acted on his own when the car was stolen.

I worked for a dealership at one point. Generally the dealership at one point would have to step up but if they haven't done anything to the employee for doing this then they may be trying to hide it which would also put them at fault. I just thought of that. I mean thinking about it was this employee fired or is the pos still working for the dealership? If he is then at that point it would be also on the dealerships lap for not handling accordingly either.
