First of all congrats to Chevy for building this car. Secondly, the same thing they are saying about this car is the same thing is they said about the ZL1 and ZR1 prior to that. "You won't be able to find one," "every one of them will be spoken for,"... yet and still ZR1s and ZL1s could be found two to three per lot at a time with puppy dog headlights begging to be taken home. This Z28 as grand as it may be doesn't not have a magic wand to ward off many of the factors that prevent low volume/high priced cars from selling out every year. If you want one bad enough they will be there to be had.
75 grand doesn't just fall out the sky, or grow on trees. For all it's wonderous abilities, it's an impractical vehicle. It's still a tough sell sitting next to an already expensive and more practical ZL1 with all the creature comforts standard that give you at least a shot at selling the whole idea to your wife.
Fabulous car, and I could possibly buy one. But I'd just buy a ZO6 first to add to the collection. If the Stingray is this fabulous at 455 hp, what would a ZO6 do to competition? I'm sure I'm not the only one thinking that.
