Well, it was produced in 77 copies, as originally indended (as I understand it).
But really, first, or second makes little difference here. What does, is that technology is neither new, nor necessarily exotic. And one of its primary benefits (adjustability) won't be there (for the obvious reasons on a production car as only a few of us can afford to have a crew - albeit I have seen it done

Having said that, it does make history for the Z/28 and I gotta believe GM engineers selected it for a good and Z/28 specific purpose (either dialing something in or out) vs just inflating the car's price. And that's just an assumption that it is more expensive.
Given the top dog Z06 will be wearing GM's own, speaks volume to me.
