Funny story about this...
Currently at college I have two roommates, one is a car guy like me and drives a Lexus IS300, the other is a couple years older, fairly arrogant and a bit pushy. He even went so far as to tell me at one point he does not like American vehicles, the weird thing is he kept asking to give my car a drive.
Anyhow, couple weeks ago we had been out on the night and he was asking me throughout the night after I had a couple drinks to drive the car so we didn't have to walk back in the cold. He doesn't drink and had designated himself as DD but I figured it more for keeping us from losing coats and whatnot (Seeing as how he didn't have his car with him). At the end of the night he basically tried to trick one of his frat members into giving us a ride home (his frat member was parked right next to me in the school garage
). I was stone cold sober at the time and told him we'd walk back to the train (which is a free ride for students by the way and was about a 10 minute walk from us). Once that was over with he insisted one more time that he drive us back in my Camaro and I responded by continuing to walk. I had been considering the drive but he had gotten me angry at that point.
Later on, at the dorm, my other roommate who is a car guy came into my room and told me before I could explain that there was no hard feelings and in my shoes he would have done the same thing, people like that have no respect for other people's things.
More on point, only people that drive it are my father, my GF and me. I don't mind letting other car folk driving it as long as I know they're going to take care of it.
