Wiring the amp on the battery isn't that hard and since you're going to be using the ******** wiring harness, it should make it easier to wire the speakers to the amp. However, have you verified that the harness works on the 2014 from Steve?

I think you only need a LOC if you are "grabbing" the signal from the rear speakers to feed the sub the low's that it needs. I doubt you will need it though, because of the ST harness you are going to use.

I could be mistaken but I believe the PDX-V9 has doesn't have a sub input per se. The signal is shared from the 1/2/3/4 channels by simply setting the SW input accordingly. The low bypass filter prevents any high end signals going to the sub.
