Bingo. It's really that simple.

Did you accept their offer? Were you forced into a decision against your will? Gun to your head?

No? Then don't take their offer so personally. They are in business to maximize profits with minimal risk. The best way to handle this if you are not happy is to go elsewhere (likely will get a similar offer +/- 1K) or sell it privately.

Whenever you trade in a car to a dealership (especially within the first two years of ownership) you will be lowballed. If you change your mind soon after purchasing a vehicle or have thoughts of selling it, you might leasing for 2-3 years.....may be a better option.

There will be no "banding together".....for a "used car resale value revolt vs the evil dealerships!"
