Sorry for the Deals guys.. Work has been quite demanding lately...
But I do have a bit of info we gathered today.
AgsWinSS stopped by with his 2010 SS m6 today. To my surprise.. he also has a IBM camaro

He just installed the exact same exhaust system on his car. Even bought from the same vendor

We took a ride in his car and... it is no where near as DRONY ( if that's a word) and raspy as mine.
His car has a hint of 112hz at the RPM range in question, but its what I would call normal "performance" sound.
Took him for a quick ride in mine & he easily picked up on the DRONE and the raspy-ness that my car has... cant really avoid it, so it was an easy A
We put my car on the lift and he looked over everything...he said it pretty much looked the same as his car, no visible difference on install or finish.
SO I'm now pretty confident that my exhaust has a problem that is not related to the car or install.
So far, both Apex and the folks over at Stainless are telling me they have never had any issues with this exhaust setup and are not truly sure how they can help.
I'm pretty sure I would take the same road if I was the manufacture or vendor.
Not knowing the customers background or ability to install or trouble shoot automotive problems leaves a lot of possible areas of concern.
So I can't fault them up to this point. But what I can except them to do is offer to exchange parts or replace parts that might be causing the problem.
The only thing I can think of at this point is that possibly the mufflers where flanged backwards & the spiral is open in the wrong direction. This would make them less effective and it would create that "straight" pipe rasp that my car has massive amounts of. It would also change the resonant FREQ that the exhaust system produces and might be the source of the DRONE
So I have to tear my exhaust apart again & look at all four mufflers and make sure they are correct.
After riding in another car just like mine with the exact same exhaust system, I'm pretty confident I can get the problem resolved, I just hope it doesn't cost me another arm and leg.
I already gave an arm up to purchase this system ... cant afford to loose another arm....
AgsWinSS car sounded great, so all I have to do is sneak over to his house and swap him exhaust systems when he is sleeping
Video/audio of the exhaust are being edited this week.. so hopefully they will provide a bit more information to the masses of what we are talking about.
