Here in RI it's pretty easy. They call your name...you go up to the podium...and the judge does all the talking.
He says "Speeding ticket...do you have a good driving record?"
Yes your honor.
"Would you like to use your ticket dismissal on this one?"
Yes your honor.
"O.k. pay the $35 court fee and you are all set."
