I had to modify the front set of washers using the poorman's lathe (drill press and files), then polished them all with Tripoli(?) buffing compound.

After looking at all the different options of others replacing these factory bolts, I've decided to go a similar method to Ricamaro did with the countersunk washers and bolts.
I ordered stainless steel M8x35 flat head bolts (McMaster 93395A412) and stainless M8 countersunk washers (eBay #171066351259). This way I would not have to modify the washers like Ricamaro had to. I do plan on belt sanding the face of the bolts to remove any letters/numbers and polishing the heads and washers to a mirror finish on a buffing wheel.
I generally don't like chrome (or shiny) parts on the car...but since I'm getting the strut brace refinished now, those ugly factory OEM bolts have got to go!
