Don't call someone a liar unless you have the balls to hold the pedal down yourself.

Around 110-115mph the automatic should be shifting from 3rd into 4th gear. The next shift (into 5th gear) won't come until close to 150mph.

Maximum speeds in the auto(manual) LS/LT
1- 43(39)
2- 75(69)
3- 115(109)
4- 153(149)
5- 210(178)
6- 265(237)
First off, Take the slide rule out of your pocket and "Hello, welcome to the real world". When I stated that my car shifted into 6th at 125 that's what it did. Second, it is easy to "Bench race" and tell me what my car should do and when it should shift according to what RPM it is at. Then the laws of physics and aerodynamics kick in. Since my last post I have had the opportunity to run on a private, ex military airstrip with fire suit and helmet. My V-6 camaro will punch through the gov and hit 161 before backing off. Hitting the limiter is very unsettling. It causes the car to shutter, which is very unpleasant at that speed. It runs up to 135 with very little effort, but after that the climb to 160 slows down quite a bit. At a certain point, the size of the hole that we are punching in the air and the aerodynamic drag takes over.

The only other thing that upsets me as much as being called a liar is that on this forum, when you Type in "CAMARO" it comes up as a misspelled word!!!!!!
