Cams aren't cheap especially if your an L99 going to LS3 conversion. I believe it is a bit cheaper if you stay VVT and if thats the case get with Rhino79 from GPI. Our cars use roller lifters and not flat tappets. Right now I am piecing my LS3 conversion and cam parts together and once I have it installed I will probably have spent about $4500. Like you said, a cammed engine sounds so much better.
