Not all shops charge the same, some charge by the hour and others by the pulls then a extra cost for tweaks. The HPT credits is a extra cost but that's dependent on tuner also how they charge. My buddy owns is own shop and uses HPT so I getting a good rate. But from what I have been told by other locals the highest I've gotten was $450. My tuner does all his tunes on the streets for actuate real world tuning and not having to deal with knock sensors as much. I think personally that $650 + credits is a lot. Also you have to look at how many tuners are in your area, if not many they will charge whatever. Living in Atlanta I have a endless amount of tuners that use HPT which causes price competition. But regardless of price my tuner / buddy is getting my money because I know his work is amazing.
