One dealer I called last year about the Z/28 said, "Oh, that's a Nissan. You need to call a Nissan dealer."

Sales can be a financially rewarding position, but you have to pay your dues and put in the time to learn your product. It doesn't matter if you are selling cars or applesauce. The shuck and jive routine was always a turnoff to those who knew their stuff, and "knowing your stuff" has never been more accessible than in the Internet age. Why these salespeople do not invest their time in learning their products can only be attributed to the lazy management who permit their sales personnel to remain ignorant.
