Yeah, so...I was this close to ordering a Camaro last week. I had two guys from Classic on the phone and I hung up both times saying, "well, let me just figure out what interior and exterior I want and I'll give you a call back!"
It never happened. All the possibilities and options have my inner monologue going out of control. It's like an episode of Scrubs in here!
"Summit White, definitely getting that because...HELLOOOO, no one has one yet."
"That was easy."
"Ok, now the gray interior is nice but do I want another light interior? Not that the G is really dirty on the inside, but you can still see that stain from the chili fries you had last year if you look reeeally close."
"Black? Yeah go with the black! It's the new black. But it's gets sooooo hot in the sun..."
"Dang it, is the orange is soooo 'in yo face' (like the burritos at Chuy's...delish)...?"
"Beige? Mmmm...too washed out with the white..."
"Screw it...getting black. Summit White with the Black interior. It's like that Michael Jackson video. Sweet."
"Hey, Ed (dude with the sweet Z06 at work), figured it out man...I'm getting a White Camaro!"
Ed: "Hm...really? I don't think it shows the lines as well as the other colors, but to each their own!"
Now, that one little comment was like a time bomb in my head. It's ruined me. I go home and put my bunny slippers back on and I really start to think...
"Oh em gee. He's right. Ed is right. White does hide the lines. Do I want to hide the lines?
"Rally Yellow? Is that too 'look-at-me'? Why does Inferno Orange look...well...red. Silver? Boring. Black...yeah that 06 Black GTO was really hard to keep clean. Victory Red looks good! Wait, Dad drove a red '79 Camaro. I can't get a color he likes because after he's done flying back from Iraq, driving to Dallas, and kicking your ass for buying yet another car and not a house...he'll probably take it from you and never let you drive it..."
"Dude you're almost 29...get a grip. Yeah...I'm almost 29!"
